Films · Played here, on this site

Short films, each with one job.

Each film explains one part of Scriptorium, then points to the next thing to do. Nothing plays until you press play, and every film has a written version.

The Full Turn

How recognition is confirmed across days.

Read the film’s sequence
  1. A Greek page and the word λόγος introduce the reason to recognize letters and words.
  2. Letter practice comes first. Word practice follows.
  3. The rota turns as a word is answered correctly on four different days. Same-day repeats do not advance it.
  4. Words from eight research languages appear before the closing line: “Recognition precedes reading.”

The film has music and effects but no spoken narration. Its essential lines appear on screen.

II · Still to come

No other films yet.

Future films will each sit beside what they explain: a language beside its page, a workbook beside its pages. They will be listed here when they are finished, not before.
