Scriptorium Terms of Sale
Effective date: 2 November 2026 (approved by Alexander Wade; takes effect when published on scriptoriumlanguages.com)
These terms apply when you buy a Scriptorium plan on scriptoriumlanguages.com. Scriptorium Language Lab is operated by Alexander Wade, 143 Martin Rd SW, Ste B, Unit #1040, Huntsville, AL 35824, United States. Purchases are processed by Stripe. If you buy in the iPhone or Android app instead, Apple's or Google's purchase terms apply to that purchase, and you manage it in your Apple or Google account.
1. What you are buying
A plan gives the signed-in Scriptorium account paid access to Scriptorium's vocabulary drills, word-form drills and learning groups in every language Scriptorium offers. The script primer stays free. Access works on the website and in the iPhone and Android apps when you sign in with the same account.

Prices are in US dollars. Any sales tax that applies is added at checkout and shown before you pay.
2. Free trial
Monthly, Annual and Family plans start with a 7-day free trial for a new Stripe customer. You give a payment card at checkout, but you are not charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the plan's price is charged and the plan renews automatically. Lifetime has no trial. One trial per customer.
3. Automatic renewal
Monthly, Annual and Family plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel. A new price applies to new purchases. We will not change the price of your existing subscription without telling you first, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
4. How to cancel
Sign in on scriptoriumlanguages.com, open Account, go to Plan, and choose Manage web billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Cancelling during the trial means you are not charged. You can also email scriptoriumlanguages@gmail.com and we will cancel it for you.
5. Refunds
Web purchases are non-refundable, including partly used billing periods and Lifetime. The 7-day free trial is how you decide whether Scriptorium is right for you. We will refund a duplicate charge or a billing error, and we may refund in other cases at our discretion. Nothing in these terms removes a refund right the law gives you. To report a billing problem, email scriptoriumlanguages@gmail.com with your account email and the date of the charge. Never send a full card number.
6. What Lifetime means
Lifetime is one payment for paid access on one Scriptorium account for as long as Scriptorium operates, including languages added later. It is not transferable to another account. If we ever close Scriptorium, we will give reasonable advance notice, and Lifetime access ends when the service closes. No refund is owed when the service closes.
7. Family plan
The buyer of a Family plan manages a household of up to 6 Scriptorium accounts, including their own, for people who live in the same household. Every member must be 13 or older and have their own account. Members keep their own progress. Removing a member ends their access through the plan.
8. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry it. Access ends when the plan is no longer paid. You can update your card in Manage web billing.
9. Deleting your account
Deleting your Scriptorium account cancels any web subscription on it, and no refund is given for the remaining period. Lifetime access ends with the account.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. A change applies to your next renewal after we tell you about it, never to a period you already paid for.
